LEON SINGS "THINK ABOUT YOU"
Swedish singer LÉON (born Lotta Lindgren) blessed us with a new single today entitled "Think About You". A song she says, in an interview to Teen Vogue, is about a relationship that went on from 18 to 21 but they never really were officially together. The song is composed with piano, drums, and strings, the latter of which some of her family members played on the song. LÉON comes from a family of musicians and she released her debut EP, Treasure, last fall to great success with the popular single "Tired of Talking".
I had the pleasure of seeing LÉON live in a small intimate setting on Wednesday, October 19th in Toronto courtesy of Sony Music Canada. She was accompanied by her piano player and sung around 5 or 6 songs, I can't remember the exact number because I was literally so mesmerized by her voice. She played this new song for us as well as a few songs from her first EP, that included Tired of Talking and Nobody Cares. LÉON stands tall on stage, dressed in all black with heels on too, she's a bit quiet when she speaks to us and tells us the stories of the songs she's about to sing and that this is only her second time in Toronto. When she opens up her mouth to sing, a big, bright voice comes out - so refined and mature. She's definitely one to keep your eyes and ears on.
