KIKI ROWE ASKS IF SHE'S "ENOUGH"
Keandra Shan Lal is a singer/songwriter who is more affectionately known to her fans as Kiki Rowe. Born and raised in Mississauga, Canada, the French nickname was given to her by her Mom, Dad and childhood friends. It has artistic associations and draws origins from the term “inspirational writer." After listening to just a handful of original music crafted by the 19-year-old burgeoning artist it is evident her parents couldn’t have given her a more fitting name. (1)
In her latest release, the Mississauga native, Kiki Rowe asks her beloved if she is “Enough.” Known for her R&B influenced pop hits, the young singer channels her vulnerability and heartache through this new single. A catchy, ear-worm inducing track that gets more intoxicating after each listen, “Enough” lives up to heat Rowe has built off of her mini self-titled album, and 2015 release, “Trust Issues.”
Growing up, Rowe found passion in poetry and began to master classical piano. Soon to combine the two art forms, she quickly found her calling in song-writing. After years of practise, her skill has paid off. Rowe has found her home at Sony Music Canada, where she continues to create music that channels her own emotions. “Enough” is a perfect reflection of this style.
“Enough,” while not necessarily optimistic, boasts big pop sound that is both danceable and solemn. It illuminates the insecurities of a relationship, where one person is always doubting the other’s loyalty, whether or not she can really trust him.
It’s a sneak peak into what’s coming next from Kiki Rowe. Looking to release her next album sometime in 2017, the rising star leaves us wanting more. You can stream Kiki Rowe’s single, “Enough” on the streaming service of your choice.
