Los Angeles based artist MarcLo, might sound like a new name but you've definitely heard his work before. He's helped write songs like Fifth Harmony's "Work" and GOOD Music's "Clique." Marclo is part of the writing/production team The Monsters and Strangerz, who have a strong track record of collabs with A-list talent like Rihanna, Big Sean, and Jason Derulo.

On his solo song “SWNGN,” he writes, sings, and produces everything himself. You can instantly recognize the ‘90s influences but with a modern twist. The beat is clean and infectious and pulses through your body. Referencing Montell Jordan's "This is how we do it" Marc sings:

"It's Friday night My whole clique's so fly Miami crew's on the westside So I ... (Skurrt Skurrt) Took an Uber from the valley Cause I'm too faded to drive We so lit, so live Like Montell in 95' I'm like (This is how we do it) They want to know, how we roll (This is how we do it)"

But don't take my word for it, check out his track on SoundCloud below and get excited for this LA singer/song writer/emcee/producer's debut solo EP Nostalgia in the near future:
