BAER MEETS US AT THE "RIVER"
BAER, the emerging electro pop artist stemming from Taiwan looks to meet us at the river with some visuals for her new single of the same name, directed by Drew Kirsch. “River”, is BAER’s newest release from her upcoming album “The Pink Formosa”, and offers a seamless mix of addictive vocals, and impressive production.
BAER is a multi-cultural urban pop singer/songwriter whom was born in Taiwan, partially raised in Canada, and based out of Los Angeles. After studying music production and engineering in Boston, BAER moved to Los Angeles and began to work with notable vocal producer and songwriter David “DQ” Quiñones whom has musical credits with Beyoncé, Demi Lovato, Jason Derulo, Nicki Minaj, and more.
“River” starts off with a soothing introduction courtesy of Zuric, that sets up the listener perfectly for BAER’s confident vocals. The chemistry between BAER’s voice & Zuric’s production can’t be denied, seeming as if the two were made specifically for each other. The visual, directed by Drew Kirsch starts off with a cinematic intro, and offers an artistic take on BAER’s work, containing optical oddities, a creative use of lighting, and excellent editing.
BAER’S musical style has been influenced by a plethora of genres including R&B, Hip-Hop, Electronic, and pop, which really shows in the mix of her artistry. BAER is just starting to garner a larger fan base, though her unguarded lyrical approach makes her listeners feel as if they have known her for years. Her debut EP “Breathe the Same” was released in early 2016 and has had the honor of being featured on Spotify’s Viral Hits charts and playlist, and H&M’s In Store Music playlist. With BAER’s second EP “The Pink Formosa” prepping for a November release, it seems as though BAER is gearing up to take on the world.
Meet you at the river.
