CELESTE BUCKINGHAM SINGS "GO AWAY"
Slovakia's Celeste Buckingham brings us "Go Away" today. It's a dance hit with that classic dancehall drum pattern. Her vocal tone and melodies ride them in a unique and refreshing way. She's singing about the classic case of telling a lover to let her be free. She's over it and ready to do her again.
She somehow makes a quiet scream sound good on the hook too at 2:26, its quite funny and it works, look out for that. The way she flows on the beat is almost rap-esque. A quick flow but still packing powerful melodies. Her vocal tone and style fits this dancehall vibe well.
At the young age of 19, Celeste Buckingham has already achieved Platinum level status in Eastern Europe and is now, having moved to the US, poised for equal success nationwide with her new single, “Unpredictable.” The foundation of her success was her last single, “Run Run Run”, which now has over 17 million views on YouTube and received heavy airplay on Radio Disney, leading her to be nominated for Best New Artist in the 2014 Radio Disney Music Awards. In addition to her musical success in Europe, she also starred in a feature film, and then went on to become the youngest judge of the X Factor worldwide, at age eighteen. She was also the second youngest star to grace the cover of Cosmopolitan magazine, following Lindsay Lohan. She is currently represented by CAA, and is an official L’Oreal ambassador.
