CORELLA ARE ABOUT TO "BLOOM"
Corella, the fresh indie-pop quartet made up of Joel Smith (Vocals), Ben Henderson (Bass & Vocals), Jack Taylor (Guitar) and James Fawcett (Drums) who met in university, have been making an impact with their refreshing alt-pop tracks ever since. They have earned well over a million streams on Spotify and with support from the likes of BBC Introducing, ITV, BBC Sport and Manchester United FC their latest singles ‘Let On’ and ‘Island’ have been picked up by Spotify’s ‘The Indie List’ and ‘Hot New Bands’ playlists.
Currently bouncing between the studio and the road, Corella have earned themselves an impressive catalog of appearances including Truck, Y NOT, Blackthorn, Tramlines, Ramsbottom, The Great Escape and Edinburg Fringe. Last year they embarked on a UK tour which included their biggest headline show to date with a sold out Academy 3 show in Manchester and this year played a sold out Camden Assembly as part of Live Nation’s Spotlight series.
Fresh off their performance at The Great Escape Festival, Corella released their brand new single ‘Bloom’ ON May 10th. This track was produced by longtime collaborator Sugar House who has previously worked with artists such as Pale Waves and the late Viola Beach.
‘Bloom’ is a high energy summer bop, that is a must listen to as summer finally arrives. This track features the bands signature catchy melodic hooks and integrated guitar riffs to create a fresh upbeat song.
Speaking about the track, Corella said: “We took a different approach than usual with writing this song. We firstly created individual parts and pieced them together rather than just jamming it out in our practice room.”
Inspired by the UK’s record breaking heat wave last summer, the Manchester group uses this song to reminisce about spending time together, drinking in the sun and living their best life.
