JOSIE DUNNE'S "LOST" FROM NEW EP "LATE TEENS/EARLY TWENTIES"
Acclaimed singer-songwriter Josie Dunne has announced the release of her eagerly anticipated new EP. LATE TEENS/EARLY TWENTIES is available now via Atlantic Records. The EP is highlighted by the moving new single, “Lost,” joined today by an at-home video streaming HERE now at the Nashville-based artist’s official YouTube channel. The video directed by Joey Brodnax practices social distancing and was filmed from the comfort of Josie’s home. She was born in Chicago but packed up and took her talents to Nashville, and boy we're glad she did.
I love how genuine the delivery is on the verses. It feels like she's talking to you one and one and trails off at times as if she feels what she's saying is unimportant. It's these types of vocal inflections that really connect the artist to their audience.
“You’re hearing me grow up – the real growth spurt,” the singer says of the unique blend of soul-infused pop found on LATE TEENS/EARLY TWENTIES. “You’re seeing me learn these lessons for the first time.” Most of the other tracks on the EP have beautiful videos also that are definitely worth checking out.
Josie has earned applause for a recent string of festival appearances and support runs alongside such artists as Ben Rector, Andy Grammer, and Julia Michaels. She hopes to introduce fans to the songs of LATE TEENS/EARLY TWENTIES with a wide-ranging North American tour, to be announced at some point when things get back to normal.
