WATSON DROPS "KITTY KITTY"
Updated: Oct 9, 2020
Kitty Kitty shows another side to The L.A-based singer-songwriter. Watson has always been a fan of Alt-Rock and Eclectic Rap music, which definitely takes the lead on his newest track. Grunge-esque guitar chords play over a slow trap beat. Watson fights with his demons and the temptations that come with sex, a song he wrote after 6 months of celibacy.
At the beginning of the track, The singer sounds tormented battling his urges; "It's Sunday / Let the Lord forgive me (Sex on my mind)." As the song continues, Watsons voice becomes clearer, as he wants the thoughts and feelings to stop. “Demons leave right now, want you to leave right now / I like them better when they’re not around“. A track about giving into your dark thoughts and emotions, and the issues it can bring.
Watson explained the track himself: "The inspiration of the song was brought on by an overwhelming feeling of abstinence, how these feelings take over my days." By chance, something that people during quarantine can relate to during this period.
