The Tallest Man On Earth, AKA Swedish folkster - Kristian Matsson, just released the second single and title track off of his forthcoming album, Dark Bird Is Home. The lush full-band first single off of his upcoming fourth album, ‘Sagres’, was an interesting change for Matsson, considering his past works are almost exclusively focused on his guitar work. ‘Dark Bird Is Home’ will be a bit more familiar for fans of Matsson’s regular style. It starts off as the lovely, conversational acoustic ballad form that Matsson has perfected, but eventually builds into something more orchestral that better reflects his recent change in direction.

The album is out next month (May 12th), and The Tallest Man On Earth will be touring with a full-band in support of Dark Bird Is Home well into the fall months. Unfortunately, there is no scheduled Canadian dates at the moment, but keep your eyes peeled!

Yes, it might be late on in the year but Violet LaVelle’s “Summer Love”, from September’s “Afraid To Say I Love You” is a bright, poppy bop about the complexity of confusing the love of summer with a summer love. From the unwound cassette cover art with hand-made mixta...
