Aussie psych-rockers Tame Impala began leaking tracks—including trippy electro-rager “Let It Happen,” slinky confessional “ ‘Cause I’m A Man,” and animated rock ballad “Disciples”— back in March, but official details about their forthcoming third album Currents remained a mystery amidst all the releases. That all changed last week with the announcement of the album’s July release date and its track-listing.

The news was accompanied by the release of “Eventually”, the fourth single from the upcoming album. On the band’s Instagram page, a caption noted that this song would be the "Last one before the album.” If that's true, the track marks the end of a brilliant run for the Australian band, who has seen all of their previously released ‘Currents’ singles absolutely dominate the charts. You would think that “Eventually” — as the fourth single — could potentially fall victim to being drowned out in the album’s promotional noise, but this opulent synth ballad is too masterful for that fate.

Tame Impala have definitely saved the best for last with this one. Check it out below:

‘Currents’, which will serve as the follow-up to the band’s killer 2012 LP, ‘Lonerism’, is out July 17th through Interscope — but if you can’t wait that long to hear new material, Tame Impala are playing the legendary Massey Hall this week on May 19th.
