DON'T MISS THE MISPERS

June 15, 2015

London has a long-running reputation as one of the greatest music capitals in the world, so when a young band manages to sell out every single show they play in the city — it’s time to take notice. Queue: The Mispers. This British alt-rock quintet is on the quick rise. With only a couple of EPs under their belt, all released in the last year, the London-based band is already headlining their first North American tour.

The Mispers — definition: police term for missing person — formed just under two years ago, and includes members hailing from the UK, Brazil, and Australia. Within weeks of coming together, they had recorded their first songs, and within months were selling out key London venues like The Borderline and Dingwalls. It’s no surprise that they soon grabbed the attention of B-Unique Records (Kaiser Chiefs, Kodaline, Ordinary Boys), and have since been signed to the label.

After headlining their own gigs in Europe, as well as a spot opening for Kodaline in 2014, The Mispers are currently on tour in North America. Their recent show at The Drake Underground this past Wednesday was their first show outside of the EU, and now they are going on to play shows in New York, L.A., and even a set at Bonnaroo.
