British indie rock outfit Catfish and the Bottlemen have announced that they will continue their extensive 2015 tour with a return to North America in the fall. The Welsh band was already stateside earlier this year — but, having sold out a majority of the shows on their spring US tour (including a stop at Toronto’s Garrison in March), the band is coming back to play some larger venues.
Their debut album, ‘Balcony’, was released last fall in the UK, but only released this past January in the US. In 2014, CATB were featured on Spotify’s ‘Spotlight List’ for 2015 — a curated playlist of music stars who have had a strong showing in 2014 and are continuing to trend upward — alongside other rising stars like Francesco Yates, James Bay, and George Ezra.

The band seems to be fulfilling Spotify’s prophecy, but their building success is definitely not for a lack of trying. Their D.I.Y. ethic led them to play over 250 events in 2012 and 2013 before they eventually signed to Mumford & Sons' Ben Lovett's Communion Records. They released three singles with Communion before moving to Universal in 2014, where they released their debut album.
It doesn’t look like that momentum is slowing down anytime soon either. In addition to two US tours this year, CATB will be playing just about every festival there is this summer (Glastonbury, Osheaga, Lollapalooza, Reading & Leeds, Fuji Rocks, etc.), finishing the year with a UK tour that stretches well into November.
Be sure to see them in action on their upcoming fall tour, which includes a show at the Phoenix Concert Theatre on October 17th.
