Father John Misty (AKA Joshua Tillman) proved his worth as a solo artist with the release of his critically-acclaimed sophomore album, ‘I Love You, Honeybear’, back in February. The former Fleet Foxes drummer has been proving himself as a worthy solo artist with multiple sold-out headline dates and captivating performances on some of the world’s largest festival stages. He just wrapped up a spectacular set at UK’s Glastonbury Festival with one of the most well-received and buzzed-about performances of the weekend and he’s not done quite yet. Misty is playing a slew of festivals throughout the summer, including Montreal’s Osheaga, and then closing the year with a back-to-back North American tour and UK/European tour.

Earlier this month, Tillman released the video for the title track of his sophomore effort. In the “I Love You, Honeybear” video, the Los Angeles-based folk-rock musician details a night in the life of two EMTs, who are seen drinking and popping pills before they get called out in response to a medical emergency – which happens to be Father John Misty himself in bed with his wife (played by real-life wife, Emma, who inspired his second album). Despite the song’s sweet and innocent title, the video is pretty dark. See for yourself below:
