Atlanta’s Daye Jack is only 19-years-old, but the up-and-coming rapper is already receiving praise for his recently released debut, ‘Soul Glitch.’ The Southern newcomer’s is being compared to industry heavyweights like Kendrick Lamar and Wiz Khalifa for his lush synth-infused hip-hop.

Check out his video for “Easy”

The Nigerian-born artist popped onto the scene last year with the fittingly titled and well-received ‘Hello World’ mixtape, which lead the Huffington Post to name him one of the “25 artists you need to start listening to in 2015”. "Hello World" video below

Jack, an NYU computer science student, turned down the opportunity to play soccer with Ivy League university Dartmouth (on scholarship) in order to pursue his music career — but the young rapper did not have to wait long to find success in his chosen path. He just signed to Warner Music and is lined up to play Chicago’s Lollapalooza this summer.

The fact that he studies computer programming becomes progressively less surprising as you listen to his debut. The sonic synths and electronic beats that are scattered throughout the LP are masterfully produced and add a level of creativity to this effort that establishes Jack as one of the ones to watch.
