DEFTONES ARE BACK!

February 4, 2016

Deftones is hands down my favorite metal group of all time and so I couldn't be happier to hear that they're going to give us another album!

I still remember making mix CDs with songs from Incubus (Science/Make Yourself era)...

...Finger Eleven (Tip/Greyest Of Blue Skies era)...

...and, of course, Deftones (White Pony/Around The Fur era).

To me, these were the kings of heavy rock with catchy melody; Deftones being the heaviest of the three.

Weird as it is, the vocal stylings of lead singer, Chino Moreno is pure genius. I used to sing in a lot of heavy rock bands and I would never have had the balls to drift in and out of key the way Moreno does. He somehow makes singing out of tune sound right.

Inspiring a new generation of heavy rock enthusiasts, Deftones are back with a new song titled "Prayers/Triangles". The full album (Gore) will be released April 8th via Warner Bros. Hear the new single below.

While you're waiting for the rest of the album, go out and grab Koi No Yokan. It's their most recent album release and it's awesome. Check out Romantic Dreams, a song from the 2012 record, below.
