WOLFE DOESN'T NEED TO "PRETEND"

November 9, 2016

WOLFE released single “Pretend” late yesterday. Originally from Virginia, Kevin Wolfe has gained a lot of acclaim in a short amount of time. Since his first project “Identity Crisis,” released in 2014 his career has taken off. Since then he has found himself opening for hip-hop icons Trey Songz, Juicy J and Wu Tang.“Pretend” is an entertaining hip-hop song. It grips you in with its catchy hook. In various points of the song, underneath WOLFE and Hendersin’s raps are AlexxMarie’s hypnotic vocals. This adds a really captivating layer to the song. The beat is reminiscent of EDM, but not in an overwhelming way. It contributes to the vibe of the song as opposed to distracting from it. An intriguing single, “Pretend” is definitely worth a listen.
