Festival season is quickly approaching, and I know you are all very excited. Us Torontonians are very lucky, since we have so many amazing and dynamic music festivals so close to us! But there’s so many choices that it can become overwhelming to keep track of it all. Well let go of all that anxiety, because here is your one-stop guide to summer music festivals near Toronto. Take a read, and get planning!






Is there anything better than a giant dance party on a beach to kick off the summer? Nope, didn’t think so. If you’re into electronic dance music, making memories, and summer; this is the festival for you.

The CBC Music Festival is back this year with an all Canadian line-up! This is a great festival to attend if you don’t have a fortune to spend this year. So spend the day outdoors at Echo Beach and support your fellow Canadians!

This is the festival for you if you are looking for an experience beyond music. This festival has it all: music, a waterpark, a midway, games, and more! It’s about a 1 hour drive from Toronto, but shuttle busses are provided at a cost of $16 per person.

Field Trip is a festival put on by Canadian independent music company, Arts & Crafts. Attend this festival if you want to enjoy the nice June weather while listening to some talented and diverse acts.

NXNE is a 10-day summer festival and conference featuring music, gaming, comedy, interactive, and more. The music festival is 3 days, and features some dynamic acts, so be sure to check it out.

I know Ottawa is pretty far, but this festival has it all if you’re willing to make the trip!

Dreams Music Festival is a 19+ boutique festival experience for a discerning electronic music fan, taking place at Echo Beach in downtown Toronto, on the shores of Lake Ontario. Now is know this festival is far, but it is definitely one that you must experience. Especially this year with such an amazing line-up! Osheaga takes great pride in presenting various renowned and emerging artists to enhance the public experience year after year. Osheaga promises to have a ton of fun activities and well as a variety of food and drink options.
