Newly named 2017 XXL Freshman KYLE shows he has “Nothing 2 Lose” on his super-duper new single of the same name. Stemming from Ventura, California, KYLE lays down his signature positivity on some banging production courtesy of Dez Wright.

Although KYLE had the honor of being chosen for the annual XXL Freshman list, the emcee is no newcomer to the game. He has two official albums under his belt entitled “Beautiful Loser”, and “Smyle”, which debuted in 2013, and 2015 respectively, though his career can date back all the way to 2010 when he rapped under the moniker K.I.D. KYLE has collaborated with some of the bigger names in music as well, such as: Chance the Rapper, G-Eazy, Kehlani, and most recently Lil’ Yachty on the behemoth of a track “I-Spy” (of which Kodak Black just jumped on the remix).

“Nothing 2 Lose” starts off with some blurred production before the beat transitions into more of a piano inspired sound that allows KYLE to take over. In addition to KYLE’s bars, he’s also the king of catchy hooks, and “Nothing 2 Lose” is no different. Immediately the listener can start bobbing their head to the beat, and can associate with the feel good hook that bleeds positivity. Following the hook we have a powerful beat drop (courtesy of Dez Wright) that really gets the track going. A couple impressive verses that do a great job mashing up lyrical content, and impeccable flow later, and you have “Nothing 2 Lose” by SuperDuperKyle.

K.I.D. has had a solid career that is just starting to really take off. In addition to the Freshman Class, he also received a co-sign from Maryland emcee Logic who congratulated him on the cover. He’s dropped a couple different tracks this year that have all been positively received as well, we have the aforementioned “I-Spy”, “Doubt It”, “Not The Same”, and the Cousin Stizz assisted “Want Me Bad”. If you’re itching for a new KYLE project like I am, it shouldn’t be too long now, since this past April when KYLE was a featured guest on Hot 97 he mentioned that his new album will be dropping sometime in the summer. KYLE’s got a good head on his shoulders, a great work ethic, and a positive outlook on life, so stay tuned because it’s only up from here for this rising new artist.
