Amplified, the 23 year old hip-hop inspired singer-songwriter based in the San Francisco Bay Area is back with a soulful new summer jam under the name of “UltraViolet”, produced by JerdBeats, & Amplified himself.

Born in Santa Cruz, California, Amplified has been working to deliver his uniquely soulful boom-bap inspired tunes all across the country since the summer after his high-school graduation. Boasting an impressive track record already, Amp is a three time Van’s Warped Tour veteran which has garnered him a loyal fan base. Though the accolades don’t stop there, in addition to being named a finalist in the Perennial International song writing contest, Amp was also a named a finalist in the John Lennon National song writing Contest in 2014, a semi-finalist of ISC (International song writing Contest), and was even nominated for the U.K. National song writing contest in the “Best Pop Song” category.

“Ultraviolet” starts out with some serene production courtesy of JerdBeats, and Amp himself, before a light drop in the beat brings out an ear popping guitar rift, and the listener’s first taste of Amp’s soulful sound. Amplified offers a healthy mix of smooth vocals, and lyrical hip-hop that resonates throughout the entire track. Reminiscent of something G-Eazy, or KYLE might release, Amp is dropping some high quality music offering deep lyrics, top notch production, a catchy sound, and confidence seeping through the track.

“Ultraviolet” is set to take over college radio, Spotify playlists, and blogs all over as the jam of the summer. As Amp’s first release in 2017, “Ultraviolet” represents the first of 20 singles that he will be dropping in the remaining months of this year. If you’re a fan of Amplified’s style of hip-hop crooning, stay Amped, because he isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.

It's not that often that I find acoustic songs completely fulfilling. Prom Queen Crown by Rallie and Coal however has all the needed elements. Captivating chord progressions, beautiful vocals and subtle progression to provide expanding elements.

Rallie & Coal are an art...

Not only is the song concept very ironically relatable to this rising generation, but this production is incredibly refreshing. From the chord progression to the balance of nostalgic and modern synths, quirky percussion and of course Anna's angelic vocal tone. And she'...

Brooklyn Semhar waxes melancholic and laments a family divided on “Daddy.” This track is a smouldering, slow-burning groove that pulls itself along with all the moodiness of its subject matter. It is arranged beautifully, and reflects a refreshing jazz influence in its...
