Shan Vincent de Paul is back with another hot single, "Slow Love ft Yanchan" and we couldn't be happier! I am always happy to write about this talented artist.  Showcasing his songwriting range, Shan links up with fellow Sri Lankan artist Yanchan to deliver an infectious summer anthem. Fusing influences from classical South Asian sounds with an Afrobeat groove and a hint of Trap, “Slow Love” makes for an undeniable feel good love song.  "It’s a melancholic love story disguised in a sweet rhythm. It’s about finding love with someone for the second time, inspired by Joni Mitchell’s famous “you don’t know what you got, till’ it’s gone” line". It defiantly made me some type of way, and what I especially love about this artist, is his ability to have the same talented voice and project it in a variety of different genres of music.

Produced by fellow sideways artist La+ch and Toronto up-and-comer Yanchan, “Slow Love” is a tasteful take on the popular island groove while fusing Shan’s Sri Lankan roots into the mix. The song will appear on Shan’s upcoming project “SVDP 1” to be released mid-August.  As always, it's a pleasure to write about Shan Vincent de Paul and don't forget to catch him on Spotify and SoundCloud!

This summertime guitar production mixes well with BabyJake's raspy singing, harmonies and a blackbear type of tone.  Also reminiscent of the Dominic Fike wave that's taking over, we're excited to hear more talente...

The drum rhythm of this track is a cleverly-disguised Calypso pattern. You know, the one you hear in all the summer dancehall tracks? I feel it gets redundant after a while. But in this tune, it's done wisely with bouncy and melodic percussion which blends really well...

Adam Hender’s “I Don’t Mind” is a sulky ode to selfless, unconditional love. He croons his desire to see an unrequited love happy, even apart from him. As hopeless as his cause is, I’m sure its a position almost all of us have been in, one time or another.
