Irish folk-rockers Hermitage Green are looking to attract the “Lions Share” of music fans with their roaring new single of the same name. Multi-cultural instrumentation and enchanting vocals courtesy of Dan Murphy lend themselves to this empowering track.

“Lions Share” is a rustic tavern ballad that starts off with some captivating choir like vocals and tribal-esque drums before the clear cut sound of Dan Murphy takes center stage. Soon after the track kicks it into high gear and cranks it up to that of a stadium anthem. The powerful lyrics show the singer being tormented in a toxic relationship where he sees himself as caught in the lion’s den.

“Lion’s Share is an expression of certain aspects of human behaviour. Indulgence, greed, selfishness, the innate need to consume, and lastly a complete sense of apathy for all of the above. When you care for nothing – that is the moment when you can reap the full rewards”. - Vocalist Dan Murphy on “Lion’s Share”

Hermitage Green is an Indie Rock group stemming from Limerick, Ireland consisting of Barry, & Dan Muprhy, Darragh Graham, Darragh Griffin, & Dermot Sheedy. The group has had a huge 2017 so far, from signing to Sony Music Ireland, selling out shows across their home country and the UK, and playing alongside that of Gavin James, Josh Ritter, and Walking on Cars, Hermitage Green has done it all, and are still hungry for more.

Hermitage Green is now aiming for the international stage, and with the buzz already growing from the newly released “Lions Share”, it could be soon coming. With the group’s patience, innate musical talent, and ear for what makes a great track great, it’s only up from here. See you at the top.
