As an emerging Urban pop artist (who is no stranger to the blog) BAER is breaking cultural boundaries and moving audiences. Originally from Taiwan and partially raised in Canada, she went on to study Music Production and Engineering in Boston which enabled her to acquire new skills in an area she is evidently passionate about. After this, she made the move to LA where she has had the opportunity to work with notable producer and songwriter David “DQ” Quiñones (Beyonce, Demi Lovato, Jason Derulo, Nicki Minaj, and more).

Her newest single, “Waiting For The Fall” fuses folksy singer-songwriter elements with pop vibes and highlights BAER’s undeniably crisp vocals. The song deals with the difficult balance of living recklessly despite the chance that it could all come to an end. Aside from personally connecting to this sentiment, she drew inspiration from young legends who have passed like Jimmy Hendrix, Marilyn Monroe and Kurt Kobain. Questioning her motive for this daring behaviour, BAER remarks “I almost wonder sometimes if I LIKE to feel crazy, to feel pain, to smoke myself into oblivion and laugh and cry…because it makes me feel alive and feeds my thirst and creativity as an artist.”

“Waiting For The Fall” is the third single off BAER’s upcoming EP titled “The Pink Formosa” which is set to be released later in November.
