INNER WAVES' "BOWER" IS NAMED AFTER THEIR DOG

December 24, 2017

LA-natives, Inner Wave just released their music video for their new single, “Bower."

On the heels of the release of their sophomore album Underwater Pipe Dreams, the band delivers this gem which highlights their lush lo-fi vibes and 80s synth-pop aesthetic.

"I've never seen you before
You're gonna walk out explain a little more
I wish that there'd be no end
You're hard to train but it all depends

You make me say it again
I don't belong
Yeah you make me say it
I am done waiting"

The tune is named after vocalist/guitarist Pablo Sotelo's canine companion, Bowie (nicknamed Bower). "We wanted to make him the star of the video," Sotelo told Popmatters.com

The song is all about Sotelo's dog and so the music video is reflected to look like home videos to bring out feelings of nostalgia.
