The 18-old artist, producer and songwriter Vera Hotsauce has always known she is going to make it and has big plans for her career. With an indestructible attitude and confidence - this star is only waiting to explode. Her first single ’Bottoms Up’ was released last year and was praised by several journalists. Her follow up mixtape ’let me show u what love is’ showed her flexibility as an artist and demonstrated her vulnerability in the single ’daddy’.
Vera's strong personality shines through with every word, however provocative or honest it may be. Influenced by modern pop and the wave of trap music her songs are filled with attitude, character and a bad-ass vibe. After spending time in Los Angeles, writing with both Elliphant's and Diplo's producer collective, she is developing her sound an songwriting ability. Writing with AOBeats, her up-coming songs were recently played by him on Diplo's channel on BBC Radio 1.
Now Vera is releasing her new mixtape ”happy/bad” - a mixtape filled with what Vera does best. Personal lyrics to a strong beat, and melodies that stick with you. Veras own words about the mixtape:
”It sort of feels iconic somehow. It feels like you always look for something in yourself to find the songs that makes you want to laugh out loud in chock because you did something so incredibly awesome. That is exactly the feeling of this mixtape. It's about me, my artist name and together with humor and smash-tunes it feel so fucking natural. You usually say that things are happy/sad, and earlier I have had the tendency to write a lot of happy/sad songs, like songs that make you cry. But to have done something that is more happy/bad, somehow makes it feel deeper. I have waited for this for so long, and wanted the songs to be out and to be there for everyone else. I love this mixtape more than anything right now - it is me. For real. In this second, this minute, this life. This is what Vera Hotsauce is all about.”
