After generating buzz with his last two singles, “Oil & Water” and “Untrue,” the young talent Kayvahn is ready to drop what is expected to be his biggest record yet in “Everything.” On it, he’s teamed up with Toronto-based singer/songwriter Elliston, an exciting new artist who will immediately catch your ear with his adept songwriting and exceptional hooks.

Kayvahn has refined a melancholic and trap infused type of production, that serves as an ideal soundscape for Elliston, who fuses it with an infectious topline. Their two styles come together in perfect fashion, giving rise to sounds reminiscent of The Weeknd.

"'Everything' describes the back and forth of a victim of relationship abuse while still spotlighting their potential. it's also about the struggle of self-development and staying on the right path"

Fun fact: I am Elliston (writer of this article and coordinator of the blog!)

These two artists just may be working on more music for y'all ;)

Enjoy below.

AND if you're still reading, I also curate the "New Faces of Toronto" playlist which is a compilation of 100 songs from upcoming artists from the city. Best new spot to find Toronto music!

Yes, it might be late on in the year but Violet LaVelle’s “Summer Love”, from September’s “Afraid To Say I Love You” is a bright, poppy bop about the complexity of confusing the love of summer with a summer love. From the unwound cassette cover art with hand-made mixta...
