"Change My Ways" is a beautiful blend of soul, r&b and minimal electronic elements. Dayton James has a angelic vocal tone which will certainly propel him into this genre, and we love that he's in Toronto, although not from here.

Dayton James is real and unmanufactured, and you can hear that in his music – it’s raw, authentic and passionate, just like him.

A UK born and raised musician and wordsmith, Dayton James found from a young age that music was his passion. As a teenager, music was not always an outlet he could consistently rely on, as singing wasn’t deemed as ‘cool’. But, he was inevitably forced to embrace exactly who he is after a video that his mother uploaded on Youtube of him singing, surfaced, and made its way around his school. After a while, singing became very cool.

Fast forward a few years after travelling the world and writing a string of songs for other artists, including multi award winning, international artist Shaggy and signing a Publishing deal with Black Butter / Kobalt,

Recently he reached out to me for his even newer song "Already Won" to be placed on our New Faces of. Toronto Spotify playlist and you know I had to feature the boy! Listen to that playlist and "Change My Ways" both below!

Brooklyn Semhar waxes melancholic and laments a family divided on “Daddy.” This track is a smouldering, slow-burning groove that pulls itself along with all the moodiness of its subject matter. It is arranged beautifully, and reflects a refreshing jazz influence in its...

Canadian singer-songwriter Kiesza is back! After the enormous popularity of her 2014 house-pop single ‘Hideaway’, she went on collaborate with a stunning array of famous names. Names like Skrillex, Diplo, and Duran Duran, to name a few. Tragically, her career was put o...

Payson Lewis has released an anthemic new single called “Nothing To You”, and it’s really good! Payson has had a diverse career, singing with national orchestras, starring in theatrical performances, acting on TV shows, and now it seems his talent has been channelled i...
