"ADORE" YOUR LOVED ONE TO JON VINYL

December 23, 2019

"Let's get erotic baby,

*laughs*

Wait a minute probably shouldn't talk like that,

Gotta keep it smooth with the walk like that"

Jon Vinyl get's quirkier than usual on this funky joint all about adoring a special little lady. With some call-and-response on the hook to tastefully fill in the gaps, the uprising vocalist continues to impress through raw, soulful story-telling rnb.

The young artist from Toronto whose keen sense of emotion has given his listeners the ability to tap in to their nostalgic moments of teenage love, providing his personal soundtrack to those daydreams of passed relationships. Jon’s soulful records occupy a sound that has an air of sophistication and vulnerability. Production sounds of strummed guitar chords and waving synths fall into a soft spot between pop and soul, which lays the perfect framework for Jon’s open and honest accounts of his own run-ins with love.

Brooklyn Semhar waxes melancholic and laments a family divided on “Daddy.” This track is a smouldering, slow-burning groove that pulls itself along with all the moodiness of its subject matter. It is arranged beautifully, and reflects a refreshing jazz influence in its...
