First post of 2020 is from Claire Ridgely, a Montreal-based artist originally hailing from Northern Virginia. Claire has worked as a featured artist for many years, but has since turned her energy towards her solo career and has released four singles in the past year. Her fifth and newest single, "Busy Body", is a melodic pop track highlighting Claire's fluttering vocals over intricate synth-pop flourishes.

"How do you breathe when you lie to me?"

"Busy Body" questions how one can be so disloyal without feeling guilty, as she realizes what she wants from a partner just can't be reciprocated. Enjoy the arrangement spanning from soul to pop to urban elements below.

Noble Oak is truly a modern rock artist; the basic elements of its instrumentation are all there, but this group makes no appeal to the atavistic minimalism that once seemed to dominate the genre. They are sleek, shimmering like the stainless steel finish of a state-of...
