Rosa Raye is an up-and-coming Danish artist, singer and songwriter who has made her debut this summer. Her uplifting debut single Living Spree talks about getting out of a bad situation, over heartbreak and living life to the fullest. The single will soon be followed up by more new music – sounding like summertime, pool parties and car cruising under palm trees.
The new music has modern R&B/soul-influenced productions with retro elements, honest lyrics, sassiness and catchy melodies performed by Rosa’s rich, powerful voice. She writes and sings about whatever is on her mind at the time – and she doesn’t sugarcoat it.
Rosa Raye has been inspired by American music and entertainment since she was a little girl, starting out singing the songs of Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin and Beyoncé. Now she finds much of her inspiration among the new generation of R&B/Alternative R&B artists. Songwriting trips to New York, Nashville and Los Angeles also inspired her musical direction – especially the L.A. vibe and experiences. She has worked with many producers and songwriters from Scandinavia, the U.S. and the U.K. and had a record deal with a major label in her home country. However, Rosa Raye is now an independent artist and 100% in charge of the vision and project.
"I'm seeing through these shades in pink, and I don't wanna overthink"
We're loving the feel-good vibes on Living Spree—Raye's perfectly crisp vocals dance over an R&B/pop arrangement that takes us to the Cali coastline. Check this sweet summer bop out below.
